The pressure inside a hydrogen-filled container was 2.48 atm at 21 oC. What would the pressure be if the container was heated to
vitfil [10]
<h2>Answer:</h2>

3.01 atm

<h2>Explanation:</h2>

According to Gay-Lussac's law, the pressure (P) of a given mass of gas when volume is left constant is directly proportional to the kelvin temperature (T) of the gas. i.e

P ∝ T

P = kT

Where;

k = proportionality constant

=> \frac{P}{T} = k

=> \frac{P_{1} }{T_{1} } = \frac{P_{2} }{T_{2} }        -------------------(i)

Where;

P_{1} and P_{2} are the initial and final pressures of the gas

T_{1} and T_{2} are the initial and final temperatures of the gas

From the question;

P_{1} = 2.48 atm

P_{2} = ?

T_{1} = 21°C = (21 + 273)K = 294K

T_{2} = 84°C = (84 + 273)K = 357K

Substitute these values into equation (i) as follows;

=> \frac{2.48}{294} = \frac{P_{2} }{357}

Solve for P_{2}

P_{2} = \frac{2.48 X 357}{294}

P_{2} = 3.01 atm

Therefore the pressure will be 3.01 atm

Plant cells contain both chloroplasts and mitochondria. Compare and contrast the functions
Brums [2.3K]

Answer:

Mitochondria and chloroplast are organelles found in a plant cell. However, chloroplast is absent in an animal but mitochondria is found in both. Mitochondria generates energy for the cell in the form of ATP using oxygen and nutrients. Chloroplast is the site for photosynthesis in a plant cell.

A 10.1 g bullet leaves the muzzle of a rifle with a speed of 425 m/s. What constant force is exerted on the bullet while it is t
PIT_PIT [208]

Answer

Force will be 1520.2604 N

Explanation:

We have given mass of the bullet m = 10.1 gram = 0.0101 kg

Distance S= 0.6 m

Final velocity v = 425 m/sec

Initial velocity u will be 0 m/sec

From third equation of motion v^2=u^2+2as

425^2=0^2+2\times a\times 0.6

a=150520.833m/sec^2

We know that force is given by F = ma

So force = 0.0101×150520.833 = 1520.2604 N

If potential energy at point A is 12 joules, what is the potential energy at B?
Vinil7 [7]

Answer:

In B: Epb=9J

Explanation:

Potential energy: Ep=mgh where m is the mass, h altitude.

In point A: h=20cm=0.2m

Epa=12=0.2×mg. Thus mg=12/0.2=60N

In point B: Epb=mg×0.15=60×0.15=9J
