At the time, the number of soldiers killed during the Civil War was more than the number killed in all previous us wars combined.
The Civil War caused 1,030,000 casualties, which was approximately 3% of American population of that time, including 620,000 dead soldiers, of which two thirds died of diseases. The Civil War cost more deaths than all the previous American wars combined. Based on the 1860 census figures, 8% of all white men between 13 and 43 years old died in the war. In the North this figure is 6% of deaths among men, while in the South the figures indicate the death of 18% of men.

Industrialisation is the time period when there is use of machines and latest technology in the economy and this leads to increase in the effectiveness and efficiency in the production process and also leads to cost reduction.
With the industrialisation in Germany and Japan, there was increase in the use and spread of heavy industries.
And also increase in trades of both countries leading to development of both countries and also led to the unity of people and rise of nationalism.
